“Outside the box,” a project in which we were given a random selection and had to pick one of the color schemes from a secret box while keeping our eyes closed. This project is a terrific way to get outside of our comfort zone and experiment with colors in an
interior environment that incorporates many parts of color theory and psychology. The color scheme I was given was called “Triad,” and it concentrates on three major hues that are evenly spaced. I chose three colors that I would not ordinarily choose through Ideation and Brainstorming, which is a very bold move. Those colors are red, yellow, and blue.
